The best of the NES Super Mario Trilogy!
It is action-packed with hard to beat obstacles yet easy when you know the little secrets and tricks. The enviorment is a 2- dimensional platform adventure. There is not much to say beside the fact it is the greatest of the great!

Classic, but not the greatest
This particular run of the Super Mario series was probably the most hated because it went in a totally different way than all the others (and notice how after this was released, a year or so later, Super Mario 3 had gone back to that original gameplay and became the new platform for the Mario Series).

I admit I liked that this one was different, but I didn't like that it wasn't as interesting as it prequel or the continuing sequels after it. No hopping on enemy after enemy, no fireballs, now we throw things at everything. Getting Super Stars was pretty random. All in all, Mario was on a different tip with this one.

But we still love this game, why? Because it's MARIO and let's face it we've all been this loyal for how long?? Me personally, I was a teen when the Nintendo came out and I still play my original NES (Yes it's still in perfect condition somehow after 10+ years). Anyway, if you're looking for nostalgia, you might want to consider this one or Super Mario 3.

Old classics never die!!!
To me this is the greatest of all the Mario games I've ever played. Forget that GBA [junk] and find Super Mario All-stars or this original one and pick it up. The only thing about SMAS is that it has enhanced graphics, but the GBA is too different.

This game was so fun and I never put it down (In fact if it weren't for this game my hand and eye cooridination would [stink] and I'm making a joke either) and while not too difficult for a five year old (that's how old I was then) this game would've been challeging.

For those who started playing with the NES remember this classic? The best Mario game ever made? Get this now and you won't be disappointed. Get it as the Super Mario All Stars and you won't regret it, get it on GBA and you'll cry at a classic that was ruined.
