LEGEND OF DRAGOON
AS FAR AS PLAYSTATION ONE GAMES GO, THIS GAME IS A CLASSIC. IT IS QUITE FUN.

Legend of Dragoon
Awesome game! A must have for RPG fans, especially psx gamers. The only thing about this game is that you have to get used to the battle system. Hitting 'X' when two squares overlap is how you attack using your character's unique attacks. The system is not hard, but if you are a traditional RPG fan who is used to just mashing 'X' every now and again you may have to get used to this. Personally I like it because it is different.

Almost as great as FF7!
Sony did not mess up with this game, Legend of Dragoon has got to be one of the best RPGs that I have experienced. The storyline is great, with many captivating characters and twists. Basically the story follows a man named Dart, whom is seeking vengence for the destruction of his village and the deaths of his parents by the creature dubbed as the "Black Monster". While on his trek, Dart encounters an arsenal of intriguing individuals, including his childhood friend Shana, and the mysterious warrior Rose. There are many powerful enemies to face in this world of dragons and mayhem, and one must be ready for anything that crosses your path.

In this game there are two particular battle methods that make this game unique and more fun than other RPGs. Additions are one new addition(no pun intended) that make this RPG more interesting and challenging. When attacking, the player must press the x button in correspondence to a pattern, which increases the potency of the attack. Additions can vary from 2 hits up to difficult 7 and 8 hit combinations. Mastery of these additions is vital to being sucessful in this game.

Another intriguing aspect of this game is the power of Dragoon. The Dragoon is a winged warrior with power attacks, and elemental magic. In order to activate a successful Dragoon Attack, one must push the x button at just the right time.

Overall I found this game to very fun and amusing, yeah sure the graphics are a little primative compared to PS2 and PS3 games, but regardless it does not take away from the fun factor of this game.

Top 5
I bought this game when it first came out in somewhere around 2000. It was at that point my favorite game ever. Now after advances in games up to this point (I now have a ps2, wii, and a 360) It is still on my top 5 games that I have ever played. I am not sure if it is more nostalgia now or if it is still the game. But still a good buy.

Great Game
This game is a very fun experience with a great storyline. If you can pull yourself away from the next-gen graphics for awhile you should definitely give Legend of Dragoon a try you wont regret it!
