Date: 2001-06-12 Close but no cigar This is a pretty good game that I would recomend to most people. The bad part about it is that you have a small time limit and the tasks it wants you to do are very very hard. This is a chlenging game. Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. An 8 and a half out of ten.
Date: 2001-06-07 JET SET RADIOOOOOOOOOOOOoooOOOO!!!!!!!!!! This game is totally wicked!! You're basically playing a gang of kids who rollerskate around the streets of Tokyo-To and spraypaint the whole place. There are some required targets to spraypaint, like walls and cars etc. In the meantime, you have to avoid police officials, tanks and other gang members - While new members try to join you (who you can select to play with). And when you're spraypainting - you can skate around the city and perform tricks, like flips and grinding along railing. This may seem rather dull in writing, but believe me that it will totally blow you away. What makes this game so great though, is that it packs loads of style. The game is in 3D, but they've added a cell-shader, which draws an outline around the 3D models - making them look very cartooney. The graphics are filled with that and very bright, vibrant colours. The game is full of movement, which keeps it at an incredible pace. Everything on the screen is moving like they're doing it to the beat of the music - which is very cool as well. You have some hiphop influenced background tunes and the soundtrack features some guest appearances like Jurassic 5 and Mix Master Mike. There are some downsides to this great game though, but they don't spoil the overall fun at all. They're just a bit annoying. Like spraypainting and adjusting the camera is done with the same button. That can be a real pain when you have to chase opposing gangmembers and spraypaint them. The other one is that you're on the run from bad guys constantly. And they can get annoying when you're just trying to finish spraying your tag. Other than that, this is a great game that truly shows the power of the Dreamcast.
Date: 2001-06-07 A great game....but not what I thought it would be like. This is a great game. You going around spraying grafitti and this game in no way inspires grafitti. I thought you would be free to spray on whatever you want, but the bad things are you can only tag on some things. It is a pretty cool game though. It also has a great soundtrack consisting of techno, rap, and heavy metal.

Date: 2001-05-23 Surprise! It's a great game. It seems like such a silly premise to me. You play a character that roller-blades around various locales spray-painting graffiti on things and running from the keystone cops when they spot you. Nevertheless, this game is a lot of fun. The graphics for this game are actually quite simple, but the cel-shading effect makes them a breath of fresh air in a time when most 3D games look the same. Everything appears like it's happening in a comic book, but has the depth and detail that you expect from a 3D game. In addition to that, the sound is really good if you enjoy this kind of music. Not everyone does and since only one track plays on any given level, you run the chance of hearing it... a lot. My cousins would play the tutorial for hours... and just one track would play the entire time. It's exciting to play the game, though. There's plenty to do and discover, but it's not a daunting task to do so. Tricks happen almost automatically just from jumping in the air. Things like grinds, flips, and spins require no series of controller manipulation and button smashing to accomplish. And secrets are found by skill and accident in equal parts in my personal experience. There are some quirks to get used to or simply deal with regarding the controls, but it doesn't do enough damage to detract from the overall enjoyment of the game. It's just another great game from Sega.
