My 8-year-old loves this. Says it's even better then Red and Blue. And if you're worried about video game time taking away from reading time, make sure you get your kid(s) into roleplaying games. That way, they get both... and though Pokemon won't solve it all... you'll never have to nag them to go play Pokemon!

Just one good game
I would have made it one star exept for one thing, You can get Bulbusaur,Charmander and Squirtle. The worst thing. You can't get a good start. I mean for example, You have to beat brock with Pikachu?!? And it would take forever to train the pokemon in the grass. So i am warning you do not get this game!!!!! Get gold version much better.

Waste of time and money
this game is a waste of your time and money. There only only * to buy this game: 1# You get a Pikachu immediately, and don't have to catch one
2# In the game you recieve a Bulbasaur, a Charmander, and a Squirtel. In the Blue/Red verisons, you have to decide between them.
3# This follows the idea of the TV show. Those are the other reasons why you should buy Pokemon Yellow. Buy Crystal imstead.

Pikachu Rocks!!!
I am a big Pokemon fan and I love Pikachu.I have Red,Yellow,Gold,Silver,and Crystal and this is my favorite one.I like that Pikachu follows you around and has better graphics than Red an Blue.I don't really like that it is the same as blue and red but Crystal is also the same as Gold and silver.I didn't really play this game until I got bored of the others 'cause I passed the whole thing.I still play this game and I like it.
