Sonic the Hedgehog RULES ALL
This is the Sonic game that started it all. It's one of the best games ever! While several platform games of that time simply mimicked the Mario formula, Sonic is totally unique. You run and roll through beautifully designed levels at high speeds, collecting rings to sustain your health and trying to reach the signpost at the end of the level, all within ten minutes! There are seven zones, with three acts in each one (except for Final Zone). At the end of each third act you battle with Dr. Robotnik. The music is nice too. All these things combined make a fast, fun game. Whether you're a Sonic fan or you're new to the 'hog, you should buy this game.

A simple but wonderful classic.
I will never forget the snowy Xmas of 1992 when I made the upgrade from the trusty old Commodore 64 to the Sega Genesis. I got about 1 game per week for the Genesis and tried just about everything. My first ever game tho was Sonic the Hedgehog. The gameplay was simple and that's the way I liked it.

The graphics were cute. From bright blue sunshine and tropical landscapes to the cruel mechanical world of Doctor Robotnik (now called the Eggman). The music was great (where are the soundtrack CDs???) and I was never happier.

Sure it was totally easy but I always went back for more. This game had such charm is it any wonder why Sonic is still so popular all these years on?

This is such a great game.
This game is one of the oldies but goodies..hehe. I remember playing it on my Sega Genesis when I was about six years old. I loved this game. I found the first two levels easy to beat but it became extremely harder as I went on. Sadly to say, I had to get rid of it two years ago along with the Sega. But I totally reccomend this game to anyone up to a challenge! :-) Happy Gaming!

A GREAT SEGA GENESIS EXCLUSIVE
I remember when this game came out I played it at a friends house and loved it,finally a platform game that surpassed Mario. This game is very easy to pick up and play and very enjoyable to say the least. I have beat the game several times and its still a fun game to play. A classic game that combines graphics(especially for its time)and stellar gameplay and fun. If you haven't played this game your missing out on a classic and also check out Sonic CD for Sega CD only and the sequel Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genesis.

Sonic the Hedghog An Exellent Sega Classic
Sonic the Hedehog was the first ever Sonic game released. This game is one of the funnest games you will play on the Genesis. Sonic spans a variety of different levels ranging from speeding through Green Hills, underwater labyrinths, and even Space. Sonic the Hedgehog also has a nice sound track, each stage has its own kind of music, which is really well done. Sonic the Hedgehog is an exellent Sega Classic and if you want to know how it all started this is the game for you. Fast, Furious, Fun, what more could you ask for; buy it before it disappears. And have fun!
