Date: 2008-10-24 Quest 64 Very fun game....my husband LOVES IT!!!!!! He loves rpg games and this is one of his favorites!!!!
Date: 2005-12-15 O.....kay, what on earth is this? What on earth? I thought this would be a great game. Of course, I was only 6 years old then and always thought everything was good. But back then, the game was too hard... and now, at 12, I see the poor quality of this game. At least THQ redeemed themselves with one of my favorite XBOX games...
Story (0.5/10) You are Brian and you have to save your daddy and contain the power of some book. We have all heard this before.
Graphics (3.5/10) Ha ha... the architecture is sucky! The paths in the first town are very "pixely" and have seams. There landscape is way to geometric (I know - most games on the 64 are very geometric. But the landscape looks like garbage with massive amounts of it. The creatures looked OK, but the spells and bosses? Sucky.
Sound/Music (2/10) The music is not catchy and the music is the same almost everywhere, except it is played by a different instrument in each town. However, the Blue Cave music and Limelin music was so-so. The sounds are too synthetic, even for the 64!
Gameplay (0/10) Yup... gameplay. This is too linear and beyond belief. There is no money in the game. You are attacked by monsters every few seconds. The monsters get too strong too fast. "Hey I now have 100 HP! Huh? Who's this guy? Crud!" You get your max HP up by being attacked... boring. There are no side quests, collectibles, puzzles, mini-games, etc. Beyond belief.
Overall - (1/5) I would have given this zero stars. If you want an RPG, buy Morrowind for XBOX. Or Paper Mario. Even Pokemon was a better RPG... and I don't really like it anymore! Don't even RENT Quest 64.
Date: 2005-11-24 This is it!! The gem in gaming that shines brighter than the sun! Quest 64. Amazing. Really! Ok this game is so much dang fun I just couldnt believe it was so much fun! Now Nintendo 64 isnt suppossed to be an RPG system, but this one just plain out blew every other RPG out of the water. Quest has amazing graphics(the best I have ever seen in any system). Some dont like how enemies will pop up out of nowhere when you are outside, but HELLO PEOPLES! I THINK IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT THEN YOU SHOULDNT BE PLAYING THE GAME, EH? AFTER ALL, THE ENTIRE GAME IS PRETTY MUCH FIGHTING THOSE VERY ENEMIES. eh hem, now back to the game's shining assests. The fighting system is wonder ful I love shooting fireballs and ice rays at enemies or just whacking the living daylights outta them with my staff. The last thing I have to say is that with all this nonsense coming out these days(Playstation2 AND 3, Xbox 360, PSP, that weird FLY thing, and other garbage) it is a pure blessing that Nintendo has the respect to make classics that are amazing and never get old. Nintendo, in a world of scams and stupid junk systems, you guys rule! The best games are QUEST 64!!!, Yoshis story, and Super Mario 64. Dont buy into this new crap*AKA Xbox 360* Get the old classics that rule in gaming!!!
Date: 2005-04-20 The Reason Quest 64 is the Best Rpg Game This game has pretty good graphics and and great spells. The plot (like in most fantasy games) is to save your once-peaceful town from destruction. I would say that overall this game should get a 10 out of 10 (thats amazing for this kind of game I'd say). Don't listen to 1-3 star reviews. Don't waste your money on a game like Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, spend a good $10-15 dollars on this game (if you don't own it already) and get ready to play a game you can't live without. So go ahead and get this game, It's more than worth it!
