One of the best for Genesis
This game is so much fun! There are so many levels and they are all different. After 2 levels you have to fight the boss: Dr. Robatnik. The levels have there own unique enemy animals and bugs, all of which are killed by different methods. You can power up and zip across the levels as you roll at lightning speeds. There are bumpers and loop-de-loops scattered all across the levels. This is a definite buy for owners of Genesis. It is worth the [$$$]. You must buy!

BEST OF ALL TIME
I own many games. Lotta Genesis games, Super Nintendo, gameboy, PSX, PS2, Cube, whatever. I'm not boasting, but instead I'm pointing out that out of every single game I own, this is my all-time favorite. That's a high reward I think. I'll never forget the first day I got to play this game. I was 10 years old (it was a few years after the game came out), and, amazingly, I really waasn't a gamer. I liked games, but just wasn't addicted (yet). Well, look at me now! Owning countless titles, always reading reviews to get only the good titles, always buying new games, but...I have never found a better game than Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Allright but disappointed
I bought this game after reading the reviews and thought cool this is the best sega game. It is kinda fun but it takes an hour to get to level six. I wish you could start at a level like six instead of starting back at the begining. It needs a memory card or something. To long to play. If you know a way of starting the game other than at the starting level let me know

great game
I still play this game today. Its graphics dont match those of sonic adventure 2 battle but its just a fun i recommend this game to everyone so buy it!!

Sweet!!!!
This game is sweet.The graphics are good but the sega dosen't have the best. Sonic's speed is amazing. You can also be two player with tales. While playing with sonic on level 2 2nd player press start then control tales.
