Final Fantasy VIII combines a fantastic story, amazing visuals, and excellent sound with solid RPG gameplay, an eminently tweakable junction system, and scads of secrets and extras. Cast all fears aside: this Final Fantasy is one of the greatest game ever to bear the name. Jody Bissoon

What I thought
The game is alright but they made a huge mistake on how you use spells. I would much rather have mp than limited times to cast a spell.

I would have enjoyed this game more if I would have gotten the walkthrough guide I order with it.

this game is awesome it works in both my ps2 and ps1. i have no problems with it. you should buy it.

hmm..
this was one of my favorites when i first played it.. but after all these years.. i have to say it isn't the best of the best..
when you compare it to all other final fantasies, this one sticks out like a sore thumb.. but the battle system is interesting! i don't like how the main character (Squall) is emo-like at the start... but once again he changes because of a certain someone... *cough* RINOA! *cough* *cough*
overall... GREAT GAME!! :D
