Date: 2000-08-18 I hate batteries the VMU was one of the best peripherals in gaming history I love it and I play the mini games it has like the chaos game in Sonic but the batteries aaaggghh! I hate the batteries in nearly two weeks the VMU batteries was out of run I replaced since Sept. 9 the batteries 5 times so.....that's a problem
Date: 2000-07-08 This is the best invention in video game history! This is the handiest little gadget I've ever had as a video-gamer. It does everything- saves your games, gives you special options during a game (so that your opponent doesn't know what you're doing), and also plays mini-games. It's a neccessity for the Sega Dreamcast, because every game, as far as I know, uses it. So go out and get a VMU, if you know what's good for you!
Date: 2000-07-07 Reliable... but it has it's problems I just had to review the VMU for one reason. While it does a fine job at saving my games and all, why does it have a cross-pad, buttons, and a screen? The screen barely gets used and the batteries run out within two weeks making the cross-pad, buttons, and any vmu game useless! give me a cheaper alternative because I dont need a speaker and paddle on my memory card. No problems with losing data though.. very reliable
Date: 2000-07-04 Nothing really to say here... Well, it's a memory card. You basically need this to play any games, so I'm not going to say "go buy this" since I'm sure you have it anyway. All I can say is don't buy a third party memory card EVER, they're all garbage and are unreliable. Also, stock up on batteries, these things eat them up quickly. The mini-games are fun...
Date: 2000-06-19 good I personaly love this memory unit its alot better than any previous memory units. You can link up with other VMU's and trade, also playing the mini-games is fun. Intresting things are displayed on the screen while playing. The problem is the battery's die right away and take two battery's to replace.
