Soul Calibur Review (continued)

Date: 2002-11-17 A Classic Fighting Game. Wow, what can I say. This game is virtally perfect in every category (Graphics, sound, gameplay, value, fighters, options etc.) An absolutely exciting game to play and it never loses appeal. I played this when it first came out back in late 1998 or early 1999 at the arcade and I was spellbound. Jawdropping lighting effects, especially, up to 5 characters that can be unlocked, and the combos possible are extensive. I can't wait to get my Dreamcast, two controllers, and 7 awesome games for just over 100 bucks from my friend because I'll be playing this classic for a long time. A must-have for all Sega Dreamcast owners. (Also check out Mortal Kombat Gold, Shenmue, Resident Evil:Code Veronica and Dead Or Alive 2 if you're a new Dreamcast owner)
Date: 2002-08-22 THE BEST GAME EVER!! My mother bought this game for me for my birthday a few years ago. THis game is the greatest fighting game I have ever played PERIOD. The graphics are outstanding. (The characters move their mouths correctly to every sylable) The fighting arenas are incredibly detaild. And you just don't get tired of it. Great for people looking for a superb fighting game. AND THE BEST PART, Unlockable Characters.
Date: 2002-07-13 A Fighting video game at its finest I have owned my Dreamcast for nearly a yera now and had been waiting to find a solid fighting game. Many people say that Tekken Tag Team for the PS2 is amuch better game, but it is basically the same as Tekken 3 with enhanced graphics and doesn't have all the things that make Soul Calibur so much fun. I was thinking about looking for Virtua Fighter, but then saw a review that gave Soul Calibur 10 out of 10. I read the review that it was like Virtua Fighter, but with way better graphics, more fighting stages and of course, awesome weapons to fight with. This game has several modes in it including vs. where you can play head-to-head aginst a friend, and arcade mode which is the best and most fun mode in this game. In arcade mode you chose one of several characters to fight with. Each character has different weapons like axes, swords, num-chucks, etc. and different strengths and weaknesses. After you have succesfully beaten all 8 stages you will un-lock a new stage to fight on or a new "soul" or character to fight with that is usually much stronger than the normal characters. If you are looking for a fighting game for your Dreamcast, Soul Calibur is a must-have. And at the price of Dreamcast games these days, you just can't pass up the price on this great game.
Date: 2002-07-08 Just Short of Perfect Soul Calibur is a martial arts two person fighter game with an intricate plot, extremely accurate martial art forms and katas, great 3d animated movements, great 3D models, and a gameplay that is near perfect. While it is a little difficult at first to get started (unless you choose a button pushing character like Hwang or Sung Mena), the complexity of the various combos, special moves, timings, the soul and spirit charge, and additional features make for a game that is enjoyable to play for years. At first, the eight directional move is a little awkward, but once you get it mastered it's second nature. Also, mastering 8 directional move is the key to dodging and countering, which are your best friends in this game!
Date: 2002-06-16 the best game 5 stars game itis bset like Virtua Fighter 4 and Phantasy Star
