Date: 2004-03-19 Poke'mon Blue This is a really good game except for you can't catch every single Poke'mon. Otherwise, it's tons of fun to play again and again.
Date: 2004-03-10 the best game ever made pokemon red and blue are the best. I hate the new versions because they took out all the good pokemon, like Charizard,Blastoise, and even Mewtwo. In pokemon blue youre ash, who tries to beat all the gym leaders and try to beat the elite four. It's not that hard to beat, but to get all the pokemon is extremly difficult without using a game shark.i've had this game for 5 years and am still playing it now, on my Sp. You should buy this game if you haven't already. ruby and sapphire are pathetic. it only took me 17 hours to beat it. Get blue version, it's worth it.
Date: 2003-12-29 Pokemon Rocks & Roles I got this game for Christmas. I LOVE it! I took Bulbasaur for my starter Pokemon. If you choose Bulbasaur (like me) your rival's starter Pokemon is Charmander. If you choose Squirtle your rival's starter Pokemon will be Bulbasaur and if you start with Charmander your rival's starter Pokemon will be a Squirtle. Pokemon is for boys AND girls. You would think Meowth would be able to learn HM1 (Cut)! THis is a great game and it is perfect for people who have never played Pokemon before!
Date: 2003-12-28 Our family's favorite game series My 8-year-old's favorite game series. And if you're worried about video game time taking away from reading time, make sure you get your kid(s) into roleplaying games. That way, they get both... and though Pokemon won't solve it all... you'll never have to nag them to go play Pokemon!
Date: 2003-11-12 The 2 games that started it all Pokemon Red and Blue. If you are a fan of Pokemon and you haven't played one of these games yet, then get up and go buy one of them! They are both the same, except a few Pokemon are exclusive to each version. Whichever one you buy, you'll have a great time playing! These games are amazing RPG's, and should be a part of any Pokemon fans collection. The graphics are good for a Gameboy game. The sound is good, too, unlike a lot of other Gameboy games that have sound that is excruciating to listen to. Unfortunately, you can only save one game on a single cartridge. This doesn't bother me, as no one else uses my Gameboy, but it would be nice to make a backup copy of my saved game. It is easy to play, but hard to master. Pokemon Red and Blue have a lot of replay value! Apparently, you haven't truly beaten the game until you capture all 150 Pokemon, which requires a link cable and a friend who has the opposite version (Unless you cheat using a Gameshark). I never really attempted to collect all the Pokemon in any of the Pokemon games; I simply tried to beat all of the other trainers and the various activities in the game, but if you are looking for a real challenge, you could attempt to collect all of them. After you finish this game, be sure to check out the various other Pokemon games! In my opinion, they are all great games. Some people don't like the new versions because they claim they don't like the Pokemon in them, but don't listen to those people, they are just angry because Pokemon isn't "cool" anymore. I hated when Pokemon was the biggest fad for kids, because it turned off a lot of adult gamers who thought it was childish. This game is not just for kids! Go buy Pokemon Red or Pokemon Blue. By the way, the only downside to buying either of these games is that you might lose some sleep while playing them!
