In all ways perfect
Perfect. Just want to let that word sink in: perfect.
The gameplay is innovative. The story is wonderful. The dungeons amazing. Not only are each of these qualities great by themselves, but were linked together like an enormous, complicated jigsaw puzzle.
The controll in the game is nearly unprecdented. I have never seen a game in which the character moves so naturally, for it is common in games for the developer to not gain total controll over the figure.
The gameplay is a very immersive tool. Z-targetting, the best feature, lets Link "target" an enemy. Once targetted, he can jump backwards and to the side to escape a blow. After the jump, you can then do the jump attack which is the most powerful attack as well as other smaller attacks (stab, vertical slash, horizontal slash, etc.) that do slightly less damage. Not to mention an immense array of weapons (bombs, bow & arrows, etc.) that do damage as well. Your other tools, such as hookshot(grappling hook), Ocarina, masks, and others do other tasks such as get you to hard-to-reach plases, play songs, (which you will see about soon) and other actions are used when not in battle.
Link's Ocarina is a wonderful idea. It not only adds to the story (Zelda, the princess, gives it to him to open the "Door of Time) but lets you do different tasks. (the "sun's song" changes it from day to night) Another great idea is the fact that it changes day to night, making it that some things happen only at night (treasure chest game) and others at day (the "bazaar").
The "dungeons", were you spend about half the game, are masterfully compiled. They are, technically speaking, mazes with the Zelda touch: you get to a door, only to find it needs a key, which you find later on.
The music. OHH, THE MUSIC! Each track fits each moment, place, person, etc. remarkably. Koji Kondo did an awesome job of pouring such feeling into each song.
The best element is the story. Imaginative, unique, inspired, "Ocarina" has it all.
It starts with Link as a child (ten or so) and eventually he grows. Not only realistic, but it is immersive. He accidentally lets the "bad guy" (Ganondorf)into the "sacred realm" and Link, in turn, is "sealed" for seven years untill he is old enough to fight away the evil. Meanwhile, Ganondorf becomes king of Hyrule (the land were this takes place) and messes up the entire known world.
All in all, it's perfect. Obviously, there are some things that one person wouldn't like as much (I personally didn't like the great fairy) as the next. But seriously, it's impossible to make a game that EVERYONE agrees is totaly spotless. And that's the point: it's not spotless, it's PERFECT.

BEST ZELDA GAME EVER!
This game is one of the best N64 games ever! I'm not kidding. Please buy this game.Great storyline, good graphics, and lots of levels that will keep you playing. You start out as a 10 year old boy named Link living in a village called Koriki Forest.Link gets a distress call from The Great Deko Tree, guardian of Koriki Forest. This will start Link on his adventure. Please get this game, and I guarantee that once you start it,you won't want to stop.

Love Zelda, Zelda Fan!
This game has crossed the "I Like You" line. It's just like the old one from NES, although, I know about the dungeons and the weapons because I have the old one. So, it's fun to play for a while until you get to the Water Temple, it gets confusing there. So, use the Player's Guide to cheat, so that you won't get stuck. I played a long time ever since it came out. It was the game that caught my eye and though I had to have the game. I am a Zelda fan and I hope that you have fun playing it as well. I just like to see Link grow up.

Do I need to say just how awesome this game is?!!
This Zelda game is simply amazing! The Wind Waker sucked and Four Swords was OK, but this game rocks! The main plot was spectacular and the gameplay was great! I first played the game after getting Collector's Edition for Christmas, and I was addicted to it. The main plot throughout the whole game is that Link(as a kid) must collect 3 Spiritual stones and open the Door of Time, along with the Ocarina of Time. As an adult, Link must awaken the 5 sages and fight to destroy the evil Ganondorf and rescue Zelda. I have beaten the game 6 times it was so good! I highly recommend it to big Zelda fans. NOTE: This game has a sequel called Majora's Mask, but it's not near as good in my opinion.
