Date: 2004-07-14 Mario is back I love all the Mario Kart games, this one has some of the coolest tracks. Yoshi Valley is the best track I've ever played and the graphics are pretty good too. Small selection of characters (if you've got the one for Gamecube) but still a blast. Awesome 1 player or multiplayer game, a must have for parties! Good anytime and that's hard to find.
Date: 2004-07-12 Mario Kart 64,Too Cool There is only one word to describe mario kart 64,BEST! This game has people from the original Supermario 64.(except DK and Wario. With many racetracks.like Mario raceway, Wario Stadium, and much more. Bring a friend or family member to play you in 2 player mode. Includes Battle mode, and vs. Wanna play with 3 more people? You can in 4 player mode. Trust me, This game is one of the best games for the nintendo game system.(not snes)
Date: 2004-06-14 Nothing but pure, unadulterated FUN Back when I was in middle school and was scooping up every possible game with Mario's name attached to it (hey, anyone remember Mario Paint?), the original version of Super Mario Kart was my favorite game. When I saw that there was a new version of the game for the N64 years later, I was excited and knew I had to try it. I later bought a used copy from a video rental store and have never regretted it. It's simply one of the most fun games of all time, and I'm still hooked on it eight years after it originally came out. I've played all the courses hundreds of times (including Special Cup), but I never get tired of it. My favorite part of this game is all the wacky items you can use. They kept most of the really cool ones from the original game (like lightning bolts, invincibility stars and ghosts to steal others' items) and added some new ones (like the spiny shell). One factor in this game that was a vast improvement on the original: it's less predictable. In the original game, computerized opponents pretty much all traveled in the same path around each track, and each character had special individual attacks: i.e. Yoshi threw eggs, Donkey Kong threw banana peels, Mario and Luigi could become invincible at will, etc. In this version, the tracks are bigger and the computerized opponents are "smarter" - they don't always move in the same path. The graphics may be rather plain-looking by today's standards, but in 1996, they were stunning. (I especially like the snow-covered tracks and Rainbow Road!) Most of the character voices are funny (especially Luigi's "Mamma mi-a-a-a-ahhh..." and Yoshi's squeal when he hits a banana peel), but some (i.e. anything that comes out of Toad's mouth and Mario's "Yeah, ha-ha-ha!!!!") grate on your nerves after a while. Small flaws, though, in what is otherwise a very fun and addictive game. Haven't played the newest version for the GameCube yet but am looking forward to it!
Date: 2004-04-20 Welcome to MARIO kart? I hope my last review was helpful to you. Well Wario, Bowser and DK are heavey: Pros. 1.They only times they sipn out is when they hit a banana. 2.They bash most of the other players. Cons. 1. It takes a long time to go up to max. speed. 2.Their speed goes down when you go in grass or sand.Mario and Luigi are avrege. (NO PROS. OR CONS.) Toad, Yoshi and Peach are light. Pros. 1.Their speed is a little bit higher than avrege and heaveys. 2. 'Don't take long to go to Max. speed. Cons. 1.They often get pushed alot 2.They usualy slip alot. I hope this was helpful!
