Bigfoot Autumn Review
User Submitted Bigfoot Autumn Reviews Date: 2001-10-20 A gripping adventure with some Vermont Sasquatch Bigfoot Autumn is a mixture of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure. It's about a society of sasquatch that gets into trouble because of something they learned from humans, and they get a human advisor (Joel Hawkins) to try and help them. Things happen quickly and Joel goes through a number of trials and failures before the end. I can't say much more about that without giving the plot away. The book keeps you guessing, and comes to a satisfying end.The book is set in the Green Mountains of Vermont, which are a lot smaller than our Colorado Rockies, and at first I had a hard time thinking of Vermont as bigfoot country. But the author gives so much detail that it seems real, and the bigfoots all have real personalities. I liked the book because of the story and characters and because it wasn't just another "hairy apeman" bigfoot story. It also had a lot of observations on how humans behave, and it gave me a new perspective on the violence in our society. I only wish it were longer.
