Original, standard Game Boy version of Wario Land II, released in the west with Super Game Boy support. Captain Syrup and her comrades -- who are even more ill-mannered than Wario himself -- have swiped Wario's treasure and left his castle thoroughly trashed. To reclaim his treasure and sock it to Syrup, Wario must journey through as many as 52 levels, gathering coins, trouncing troublemakers and solving mini-puzzles. The game was later re-released with Game Boy Color packaging and color support in all territories.
